1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using IncomeAudited at incomeaudited.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Description of service
IncomeAudited is a web-based tool that provides freelance developer rate benchmarks derived from publicly available survey data. The service is provided for informational purposes only. Benchmark data should be used as a guide and not as a guarantee of market rates.
3. User accounts
To access Pro features, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We use magic link authentication - no password is stored. You may not use another person's account without permission.
4. Subscriptions and payments
IncomeAudited offers two access options. A single lookup is available as a one-time payment of $5 USD, providing one full benchmark result including your percentile rank. Pro access is available as a monthly subscription at $12 USD per month, providing unlimited lookups and quarterly market update emails. All payments are processed by Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record. Pro subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Single lookup purchases are non-refundable. Refunds for Pro subscriptions are not provided for partial months already billed.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use IncomeAudited to scrape, reproduce, or redistribute benchmark data commercially. You may not attempt to reverse engineer the service or access it through automated means. You may not use the service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Intellectual property
The IncomeAudited name, logo, and website design are proprietary. Benchmark methodology and data processing algorithms are proprietary. Underlying survey data is sourced from Stack Overflow under the Open Database License and is attributed accordingly.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
IncomeAudited is provided on an as-is basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that benchmark data is accurate, complete, or current. Rate benchmarks are derived from survey data and may not reflect your specific market conditions. Always validate rates against your own market research.
8. Limitation of liability
IncomeAudited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the three months preceding any claim.
9. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes via email where possible.
